Joyce Wharton

WHARTON: Joyce Pearl age 90 of Swift Current, SK passed away on September 13, 2018 at Cypress House. The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with Peggy Worrell officiating. The pianist was Sharon Veer, the eulogy was presented by Joyce's family, and the pallbearers were her grandsons Ryan Daniel, Chris Daniel, Brandon Talaga and Evan Myers. The interment service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Joyce is survived by her daughter Arlene Daniel (Murray Myers); her grandchildren Ryan (Tammi) Daniel and their children Dakota, Bailey, Dayton and Ayva, Chris (Jen Schutz) Daniel and their children Bristol and Knox, and  Monquie (Brandon) Talaga and their children Hannah and Nixon; niece Karen (Dan) Mcafee; nephews Bob Swaney and Brian Mouland; and extended family Even (Kyla) Myers and their son Jas and Kara Dubasoff and her son Rowan. She is predeceased by her parents Helen Acorn and William Acorn; husband Robert Wharton; sisters-in-law Eileen (Ed) Swaney and Muriel (Ralph) Mouland; niece Donna Swany and nephew Greg Mouland. Joyce was born in the District of Wallard (Buffalo Horn) on December 30, 1927 and attended Buffalo Horn School. On October 11, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert Wharton. Joyce was a homemaker and helped on the family farm in Vanguard, SK. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and crafts. In 1982 Bob and Joyce retired and moved to Swift Current. Joyce's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cypress House for the care that Joyce received. Donations in Joyce's memory may be made to a charity of your choosing.
