Murray Jankow

Jankow, Murray Steven, age 73, of Swift Current, Sk. passed away August 7, 2018 at the Cypress Hills Regional Hospital in Swift Current with family by his side. Murray is survived by his sisters; Margie (Fred) Mackow, Audrey Yankow (Derek Cunningham), Jeanette (Denis) Marleau, Frances (Murray) Gray, Theresa (Bob) Hartke and brother; Peter (Lori) Yankow, nieces and nephews; Danny Mackow (Laurie Coghill), Murray Mackow, Rhonda (Bill) Cowlin, Pamela (Andy) Knickel, Denise (Jody) Keen, Richard (Teresa) Marleau, Patrick (Christina) Marleau, Darren (Lorn) Yankow, Janelle (Mike) Schiml, great nieces and nephews; Tricia Mackow (Aaron Filipowich), Nathan, Eric, and Travis Geib, Lee Ann Knickel, Brisco Knickel, Josh and Tyler Keen, Ava Marleau, Landon, Brody, Jagger and Caleb Marleau, great-great niece Jasmine Ghesquiere, aunts; Ann Smuk and Josephine (Harry) Mackow and many other cousins and friends, especially Walter and Connie and great neighbour Vic. Murray was predeceased by his parents; Harry and Mary, his brothers; William and Harry Jr. Murray was born March 3, 1945 in Kincaid, Sk. He attended school in Vanguard and Hodgeville, Sk. Muray worked as a mechanic at Ewert's Garage in Hodgeville, grader operator for Dept. of Highways, mechanic at Raynard Equipment in Swift Current, and various other jobs and farmed for many years in the Hodgeville area. In the fall of 2013, he retired from farming and moved to Swift Current, Sk. Murray enjoyed his dogs; Spotty, Pepper, Chip and Max. He was a Mopar man and he enjoyed tinkering, fixing and modifying many different items. He enjoyed watching hockey and football. Murray attended church on a regular basis and now he is with the Lord and his Mom and Dad and brothers Billy and Harry. A family service will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
