Joseph Pacholko

Joseph Pacholko, June 11, 1934-February 10, 2018
Place of Birth: Willowbrook, Saskatchewan.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Father Joseph Pacholko, 83  who is survived by his wife Shirley nee Belbeck of almost 60 years, his sons Rick (Kimberley, Jenna, Miranda) and Dave (Cathy).
Dad was born on June 11, 1934 in Willowbrook, Saskatchewan.  He grew up on the family farm just outside Yorkton.  He left school in grade 10 to pursue a career in the Newspaper printing business.  He worked for Regina Leader Post, Moose Jaw Times Herald, Medicine Hat News, Prince Albert Daily Herald and for the majority of his life, The Swift Current Sun. It was at the Swift Current Sun where he met Shirley.
Family was always very important to Dad as he came from a mixed family of 13 siblings. Dad was the last surviving member of his family. Dad could often be seen puttering around in his yard, watching hockey and listening to music which brought him back to his days being in a band. Dad was a self-taught musician. He played the guitar, drums, fiddle and pedal steel guitar.
Dad fell ill in late 2017. Ever the fighter that he was, he tried his best to recuperate but God must have had a different plan for him as he left us peacefully on the evening of February 10 at Clover House with Mom close by.
We would like to thank all the staff who cared for Dad at the various hospitals in Regina and Swift Current as well as at the Gull Lake Care Home. A very special thank you to Jen Cartwright (Jen Cartwright Individualized Home Care) her kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. A true Angel.
A service will be held at The Chapel at Warren's Funeral Home in Swift Current with Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery on February 15, 2018 at 2pm.
We'll think of all those good times and the special bond we had for we never will forget you our devoted, dearest dad. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.  For further information, call 306-773-8831 or visit our website at and express your sympathy to family members in our book of condolences.
