Robin Hilts

Hilts; Robin Ronald Hilts, age: 54, Swift Current, passed away Sunday, February 4th 2018. The Memorial service was help 1:00pm, Friday, February 9th, 2018, at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating. The organist was Yolande Gorrill and the Psalmist was Sherman Veitenheimer. The ushers were Rick Lowe, Brent Myhr, Blake Barsness, and Kevin Pearson. The Honor Guard were members of the Provincial Conservation Officers Service. The interment service took place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, Sk. Robin is survived by his Mother Lorina Hilts ; his Wife Elaine Hilts; Son Branden Hilts and Fiancé Kelsey Lambert; Daughter Erin Hilts and boyfriend Mitch Smith; Sister Joanne (Tony) Prpich; Brother Brian (Krystell) Hilts; Brother Dean (Cheryl) Mueller. He was predeceased by his Father Ronald Hilts; Grandmother and Grandfather Margaret and Vincent Kurtz; Grandmother and Grandfather Brenda and Halley Hilts; and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. Robin was born in Lacombe, Alberta on Nov 9th, 1963. He graduated from Swift Current Compressive High School in 1981 and received a diploma in Biological Sciences Technology from NAIT in 1983. He married his darling wife, Elaine Margo Blezard in Swift Current on April 1st, 1989. Robin worked with the Saskatchewan Environment for over 30 years. He was a conservation officer from 1988 until 2001 and recently as a Land use planner from 2001 until 2018. Robin was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Wildlife Federation, and an active member on his children's athletic associations. He loved being with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, watching HGTV, watching sports, finding a good deal, traveling the world, including; Europe, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, United States, and many of Saskatchewan's fields, bushes, and bluffs. Robin was forever selfless, he had all the answers, and he taught us how to live our best life. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
