Carrol Duclos

Duclos, Carrol Alice, age 71, of Swift Current, SK, passed away January 2, 2018 at Regina, SK.  The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., January 10, 2018, from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating.  The pianist was Yolande Gorrill.  The eulogy was read by Alex Duclos.  The offering of gifts was by Amanda Vielhauer and Josh Vielhauer.  The pallbearers were Craig Duclos, Alex Duclos, Blake Duclos, Matt Vielhauer, Heath Thornton and Travis Hattum.  Carrol was blessed with four children, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren:  Rachelle (Bob) Lamotte and children Krystine (Donovan) Magel and Bryan (Kylee) Lamotte; Rick (Pam) Duclos and children Craig (Shenai) Duclos, Alex and Blake Duclos; Gloria (Carl) Vielhauer and children Amanda, Matt and Josh Vielhauer; and Gayle (Mark) Thornton and children Jared, Heath and Daniel Thornton and great grandchildren Aiden Magel and Scout Duclos; sister Grace (Bill) Bowman and sisters-in-law Irene Green, Pauline Renpenning, Vivian (Donald) Wernicke; and brothers-in-law Roger (Linda) Duclos, Raymond Duclos, and Louis (Deb) Duclos.  Carrol was predeceased by her husband Lionel Duclos; grandparents Albert and Bertha Bilboe, John and Emily Green, Osias and Adrienne Duclos, Theodule and Josephine Perron; parents Reg (Poppy) and Mary (Granny) Green, Marcel and Cecile Duclos; brother John Green; sister-in-law Annette Duclos; brothers-in-law Giles Duclos and Ted Renpenning; and great grandchild Gabriel Duclos.  Carrol was born May 14, 1946 at the Bradley Nursing Home in Cadillac, SK.  She attended school at Sherman School, Shaunavon and Admiral, SK.  Carrol married Lionel Duclos on April 19, 1965 in Cadillac.  She worked at SaskTel as a phone operator in Shaunavon, at the Chinook Regional Library as librarian in Admiral, in Walmart as a jewelry manager, and as a farmer, wife and mother.  Carrol enjoyed knitting, reading, playing board and card games, gardening, curling and she was a very strong Saskatchewan Roughrider football fan.  She was a humble, kind and loving woman with a heart of gold.  She always had an extra plate set at the table and a shoulder for those who needed it.  She was always there so she will be now greatly missed by her family and friends.  Donations in memory of Carrol may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.  For further information, call 306-773-8831 or visit our website at and express your sympathy to family members in our book of condolences.
