Wilger; Elizabeth Wilger of Swift Current, Sk. Passed away December 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. The Memorial Mass Service was held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 am from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating. The organist was Marlene Dolter. The Psalmist was Peggy Marshall. The Urn Bearer was Wilson Yan. The readers were Starla Yan and Lori Adamache and a Life Tribute was presented by Paul Chan. Prayer of the Faithful were given by Lani Sawchyn. The Interment Service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Liz is survived by: Parents, Cliff and Betty (Yan) Chan, Husband, Gerry Wilger, Brothers, Simon Chan, Paul (Tieu Ahn) Chan and their children Jacob and Mason, David Chan and his children Nalani and Hunter, Mother-in-law Barbara Wilger, Brothers-in-law Doug Wilger and his son Bryan, Jason (Lucinda) Wilger and their children Roderick and Maron, Devin (Stormy) Wilger, Sisters-in-law Lani (Terry) Sawchyn and their children Thomas and Zachary, and Lori (Marcus) Adamache. She was predeceased by: Grandparents: Chow and Toy Gee (Yee) Chan, Kwok Sheong and Chai Yeung (Yu) Yan, father-in-law: John Wilger. Liz was born on August 5, 1975 in Swift Current. After high school, got her diploma in Chemical Technology at Kelsey Institute and worked at the AAFC Research Centre in Swift Current. After leaving there she attended a pre-apprentice course at Cypress College, joined Wallace Construction and earned her journeyperson certificate in carpentry. She would later leave to renovate her own home and then homes of others. Liz played hockey with and later was president of the Swift Current Ladies Rec Hockey League. She played both Wing and Goalie until her health prevented her from playing anymore. She also loved watching football and played for a time in the Swift Current Flag Football league. Liz loved cooking and baking and sharing what she made with her friends and family. She dreamed of fishing all day and going swimming with the sharks in New Zealand. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4T 7T1.
